Greenbloc - low carbon concrete blocks
As a business we have led the field in the introduction of low carbon blocks.
In 2021 we launched Greenbloc Ultra, the UK’s first cement-free ultra-low carbon dense block offering savings in carbon of up to 80%.
More recently, in order to demonstrate our commitment to helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint we took the decision to switch all of our production of blocks to using the Greenbloc Standard mix which meant customers could use low carbon blocks without having to pay a premium.

Our Greenbloc technology is based on reducing cement which is the key material in concrete that contributes the highest amount of carbon. We replace the cement with low and ultra-low carbon cement alternative materials that can be manipulated to perform in the same way as cement.
There are three grades of Greenbloc available – Standard (up to 50% carbon reduction), Premium (up to 70% reduction) and Ultra (up to 80% reduction).
Verify our carbon reduction claims
To verify our carbon reduction claims we have 3rd party verified EPD’s (Environment Product Declaration) to prove that our carbon reduction values and data are as specified and reported. This means you can be confident that the blocks will perform in exactly the same way as conventional OPC blocks.
All our concrete blocks are manufactured in accordance with the British Standard and offer excellent thermal conductivity and sound-reducing qualities and are therefore perfect in residential and commercial building projects.
